The Rottweiler is one of the
oldest breeds with a rich heritage. Some historians find the Rottweiler to date
back to the Roman Empire with bloodlines connecting them to the ancient Roman
drover dogs; a mastiff-type dog that was a dependable, rugged dog with great
intelligence and guarding instincts.
The Rottweiler is a
magnificent breed with un-paralleled power, elegance & loyalty. In the last
week of April 2016, the Government of India took a severely regressive &
uncalled for step by banning the import of dogs to India. A step that makes no
sense and curbs the right of every Indian to choose the kind or breed of dog
they wish to own.
If such ancient, narrow minded
and regressive steps continue, many beautiful breeds will soon be a terrible
mix of poor bloodlines, inbreeding and cross breeding till the characteristics
of the breed are completely ruined.
We at RYDER KENNEL are deeply
concerned that the future holds gloom for pure bred dogs in India. Already
strange terms like “punch faced”, “heavy boned”, “double coat”, etc. are
rampant marketing tactics by many Indian breeders & hold no value. We have
sadly seen people trying to present 3 month old puppies as one month old
(basically to show “high growth”) and some breeders even using dangerous growth
steroids on tiny puppies. A good well-bred gene pool from rich bloodlines is
all that is needed to maintain & further develop the breed to be at par
with international standards.
We at RYDER KENNEL, assure you
that when you take a Rottweiler or Labrador puppy home from us, you can be sure
of its rich bloodline, healthy genes and that it meets the International BreedStandard. We have a pool of top dogs from the world’s best lines, and will
continue to KEEP HISTORY AUTHENTIC for these lovely breeds in India.
We register ALL our puppies
with the Kennel Club of India, we show you real pictures of our dogs and pups
& we say “NO” to ugly growth steroids.
